Reports are suggesting that Chelsea are preparing a final bid of £30m for Tottenham’s prize playmaker, Luka Modric.
Chelsea submitted a £27m offer for the Croatian international last week, but Spurs turned down the bid, sticking with their ‘not for sale’ stamp on the midfielder.
Modric is thought to be very keen on a move to Stamford Bridge, issuing a come-and-get-me plea earlier in the month and apparently submitting a transfer request to force through the move.
Spurs chairman, Daniel Levy, wants to hold on to the 25 year-old, however it’s believed that an offer of £35m would be enough to prise his star midfielder away from Whit Hart Lane.
