Weekend Football : Betvictor Free Bet Offer

Despite a recent dip in form – defeat to Manchester United was followed by a frustrating draw at Swansea – they are still arguably the team of the opening stage of the season. Playing flowing attacking football, they have only recently been overtaken by Manchester United at the top of the table.

They then showed the ability to grind out a result when perhaps they didn’t deserve it during the week. Victor Moses scored late on as they defeated Shakhtar 3-2.

Now, it is all about getting back on track in the league and picking up three valuable points this weekend. Chelsea do not want to be trailing Manchester United any more than they are right now and a hard fought 1-0 win would do just fine on Sunday.

They will be boosted by the return of John Terry to bolster their defence, while Ashley Cole will miss the game through injury, Ryan Bertrand should come in at left back to check the runs of Raheem Sterling.

It is Liverpool that have the better record when these two teams have met recently though. Last year, the Reds beat Chelsea three times, including twice at Stamford Bridge. Those who predict history will once again repeat itself can get 3/1 on Brendan Rogers’s side to take all three points back to Anfield.

Similar success would do wonders for the confidence of Brendan Rodgers’ team. At the moment, they are rather hit and miss with the disappointing league position of 12th going into this weekend.

In Luis Suarez they have a man in fantastic form and overall, Liverpool have enough in their team to win at Chelsea, but the Blues have more creative spark in midfield and should run rampant. Juan Mata, Edin Hazard and Brazilian Oscar look to be forming a formidable partnership, and they should create a plethora of chances as once again for Liverpool, the emphasis will be on Steven Gerrard to to keep the supply line open to Suarez.

It is certainly never dull when these two meet and it is bound to be a match filled with controversy, individual brilliance and human error, but the price of evens for a Chelsea victory looks just about too good to pass up.

Make sure you don’t miss it from 4pm on Sunday afternoon.
