Chelsea have been told that Neymar will not be leaving the Brazilian side Santos until at least January next year amid interest from both the West London side and Real Madrid.
In what was one of the most speculated of transfers this summer, Neymar’s club originally claimed that five bids from five different clubs had been accepted however it is now believed that this was an attempt to hike up the price for the 19 year old Brazilian.
Since then only Chelsea and Real Madrid have been monitoring the player and both are continuing to make enquiries but will not be able to talk to the player officially until January. The player himself has not been the most forthcoming as to which club he would prefer, mentioning on numerous occasions that he would like to move to London but now more recently praising the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
A move in January is likely to cost Chelsea just as much as it would this summer with figures reported to be around the £40m mark.
