The Cheltenham Festival is here as Paddy Power release the latest Champion Hurdle odds, tips, together with a new free bets refund on Hurricane Fly.
Tuesday has come around at last for punters, and if you haven’t placed your bets for the first day of action, then now really is the time to do it.
It is all set to be a cracking four days of action and Tuesday looks as though it is ready to set the tone for a thrilling Festival with some big races taking place.
All the talk amongst punters however, is how the bookmaker offers are matching up with each other, and once again Paddy Power look to have pulled all the aces with their Hurricane Fly refund offer on the opening day as horse racing fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the action finally gets underway.

The opener is the William Hill Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and this race, which is run over two miles, should be an enthralling encounter to kick-start the action.
There are still 19 possible runners in this one, but Nicky Henderson’s My Tent Or Yours is the current favourite with the bookmakers at 13/8.
Not only is My Tent Or Yours a top-quality jumper, but he also has Henderson training him and AP McCoy riding him, so in terms of trainer/jockey partnerships, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Henderson is in fine form at the moment and he is looking for a historic week at the Festival, so of course, kicking it all off with a win would be ideal.
These races are not won easily though, far from it in fact, and there is going to be a big challenge from a horse like Jezki, who has four wins in a row and is in the best form right now. Currently best priced at 5/1, you can’t deny that Jezki looks to be cracking value.
Un Atout is not to be written off either at 7/1, nor is Melodic Rendezvous at 9/1. Champagne Fever and Dodging Bullets are at 10/1 and are worth looking at in the each-way market.
The highlight race of the day is the StanJames Champion Hurdle though and this year’s contest is possibly one of the most eagerly anticipated for some time as some of the best horses and trainers around are involved.
Hurricane Fly runs for Willie Mullis and is the 2/1 favourite for this encounter. He won in back in 2011 and with Ruby Walsh – the most successful jockey at Cheltenham – riding him, he is going to be tough to beat here.
However, his completion is extremely strong as you have the second favourite, Zarkandar, at 7/2 and the current holder, Rock On Ruby, available at 9/2.
Paul Nicholls trains the exciting Zarkandar and it seems as though nothing fazes him right now, so he is sure to be in contention.
Nicholls’ apprentice, Harry Fry, has taken over Rock On Ruby and he will see this as his chance to prove he is one of the best trainers around and look to give his horse a reputation as one of the Cheltenham greats.
Don’t rule out Nicky Henderson’s duo of Binocular and Grandouet though, who are both at 8/1.
This race really does look to be a cracker and it is tough to see anything other than a closely-fought battle between some world class horses.
It is also worth taking a look at the Arkle Challenge Trophy, which is always a race that attracts a lot of attention. However, it is going to take something special or a big mistake for anyone to beat 4/6 favourite, Simonsig.
Bring on the action at Cheltenham tomorrow!
