Coventry City manager, Andy Thorn, is reported to be on the lookout for a striker after it was revealed that fan-favourite, Freddy Eastwood, will be out with an injury for almost a month.
The knock was picked up during the Sky Blues’ friendly against Norwich on Saturday.
With Eastwood and Lukas Jutkiewicz both set to miss the start of the Championship season, Coventry boss Andy Thorn is desperate to sign a forward or two before the transfer window closes.
“It’s not exactly what you want at this stage but we always knew that we needed a couple of reinforcements up front,” Thorn told the Coventry Telegraph.
He added: “I’ve got players in mind and the chairman is working very hard to get them on board but we’ll just have to wait and see if we can get anything done this week.”
Coventry begin their Championship campaign against Leicester City this Saturday.
