Bolton manager, Owen Coyle, is adamant that goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen, who’s contract runs out at the end of the 2011/12 season, will sign a new contract ahead of the coming campaign.
The Finn has now been at the Reebok for 14 years, since his arrival at the club in 1997, and at the ripe age of 36, is looking to pen a contract that will take him through to his retirement.
Speaking to Bolton News, Coyle commented: “It’s like any negotiation, you can’t just click your fingers and expect it to be resolved.”
He added: “Jussi has been outstanding for Bolton Wanderers and Bolton Wanderers have been outstanding for him. That’s why it’s a very good fit and I don’t see that changing.”
