Crystal Palace sign Ibra Sekajja on two year professional contract

Sekajja has signed a two year contract with Crystal PalaceCrystal Palace have signed 18 year old starlet Ibra Sekajja on a two year professional contract.

The youngster impressed when coming on as a second half substitute against Hull in the Championship netting the winner in the process and this, in addition to superb performances in the reserve and youth set up has meant Palace tying up the deal quickly.

Palace manager Dougie Freedman told the official Crystal Palace website.

“I can remember when he was in my office and I told him he would be one of the players who would be given a professional deal, there was a tear in his eye as my explanation was sinking in. He has been with us for years, I remember coaching him when he was 13.”

Freedman added.

“We don’t just pick these kids up from anywhere – we get them when they are young and work hard to develop them. That’s the way we work at Crystal Palace.”
