Premier League : William Hill Free Bets
William Hill are celebrating the start of the Premier League by offering a free bet worth £25/€25 to customers to spend on any market, including the Sunday football coupon! – claim here!
The first encounter sees newly-promoted Crystal Palace entertain Tottenham Hotspur at Selhurst Park and although the two teams have very different ambitions for the campaign, they will both be after a victory here.
Palace are being tipped as the favourites to go down, but that won’t bother Ian Holloway at all as he is used to this situation. He managed Blackpool in the Premier League a couple of years ago and although he couldn’t keep them up, Holloway is going to be a much better manager now.
Selhurst Park is sure to be rocking for this one and at 4/1, some might see some value in a win for the home side.
Marouane Chamakh is one of the biggest signings for the Eagles and he needs to get his campaign off to a great start.
As for Tottenham, they will be without Gareth Bale for this one as the Welshman is injured according to manager Andre Villas-Boas. However, there should still be enough quality in this Spurs side to take the spoils and they can be backed at 11/13.
Roberto Soldado might just be the key man as the summer signing has proven he is a superb goal-scorer and he has odds of 9/2 to score the first goal of the game. If he does find the net here, Soldado will become an instant fan-favourite.
The aim for Tottenham is to finish in the top four and a good start to the season is key for them to do just that.
After this one, Chelsea entertain another newly-promoted team – Hull City.
The Blues are usually strong on the opening day of the season and with Jose Mourinho back in the dugout at Stamford Bridge, it is tough to see anything other than a home win here. At the moment, the Europa League Champions can be backed at 2/9 to take all three points.
Mourinho’s men are many people’s bet for the Premier League title, so there is plenty of pressure on the west London club.
Fernando Torres needs to get a good start to the season to build some confidence and he could be supported by Romelu Lukaku in this one.
As for Hull, it doesn’t get much tougher than this in terms of opening games of the season, but there isn’t any pressure on the Tigers as nothing is expected of them.
However, the last thing Steve Bruce will want is a hiding on the opening day as confidence and momentum is key for a team coming up from the Championship. He needs his men to stay strong at the back and do all they can to frustrate Chelsea.
It should be an excellent day in the Premier League, with two sides looking to be near the top of the table come the end of the campaign and two looking to survive in action.
