Carlo Cudicini urges Spurs players towards ‘fitting finale’

Tottenham keeper, Carlo Cudicini, has said that his teammates want to round off the Vodacom Challenge fittingly, by beating the Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

Spurs have had a difficult tournament so far, and will be wary after the reigning South African champions beat Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday. Tottenham lost their match against Kaizer Chiefs last week and drew with the Pirates on Tuesday.

The Italian stopper says: “We managed to draw the last one against Pirates but we’ve played two very good teams who both play good football.”

Cudicini is adamant his team deserve to win, adding: “We’ve trained hard, most of the days have been doubles (sessions), we’ve played two matches and now we finish with the final on Saturday, which everyone wants to win.”

Spurs kickoff at 2 p.m on Saturday and open their Premier League season against Everton on August 13.
