Highly fancied Michael Van Gerwen takes to the oche tonight with Mark Walsh v Darren Webster, Paul Lim, Huybrechts v Rand, Vincent van der Voort v Stuart Kellett odds all available with Ladbrokes, who have a live stream of every match on their site.
The darts action from Alexandra Palace just keeps on coming as Day seven of the Ladbrokes PDC World Championships brings forward another day of superb punting action for darts fans.
Day six provided the bookmakers another set of results that left them reeling as the punters seemingly have the edge at this stage after yet more short priced favourites justified their skinny odds. Ronnie Baxter booked his place in the second round of the competition, and landed some pretty big bets in the process, but his opponent Denis Priestley made things difficult for him as Baxter won 3-2.

Reigning European champion Simon Whitlock brought more joy for favourite backers with a 3-0 win over qualifier Haruki Muramatsu whilst the underrated Justin Pipe made it into the last 32 with a routine 3-0 win over Andy Jenkins. Colin Lloyd made it a clean sweep for market followers as his win over American Darin Young 6-4 in a final set meant some big accumulators were landed.
Value seekers will be out in force again on Thursday as there are five first round matches for punters to get stuck into, including the first game of the highly rated Michael Van Gerwen’s campaign.
To see whether the fiery Dutchman can give his followers some festive cheer remember you can catch all the action live via Ladbrokes brilliant streaming service. Ladbrokes have released great news that they will be providing Live Streaming of every World Championship match via their website, mobile and Ipad applications.
In order to access the streams via a laptop, mobile or Ipad, you need to sign up to an account with Ladbrokes, which is of course free of charge.
The slight catch is that Ladbrokes do require you bet on the match in question in order to view the HD coverage but as it’s only £1, it really isn’t too much of a problem. As long as you have a good Wi-Fi or 3G connection, you can access a perfect live feed of your chosen match with added commentary so you don’t miss a beat.
Van Gerwen is due to play at 11:00PM against Paul Lim of Singapore or Mohd Latif Sapup of Malaysia, who play their qualifying match earlier in the evening.
Both players are unknown quantities on the world stage and it’s hard to think that either of them can really pose a threat to the in-form Dutchman, who has improved greatly on the PDC this year.
“Mighty Mike” has stepped his game up to another level and won his first major in the form of the World Grand Prix and then was only beaten in the final of the Grand Slam of Darts.
He has been well backed in the ante-post markets to really trouble Phil Taylor on the world stage, and many people, including Taylor, will be watching closely to see how he takes to the pressure of Ally Pally on Thursday.
He should have no problems this evening and will want to lay down a marker to his rivals, therefore the 4/6 with Ladbrokes on him winning 3-0 looks a canny play.
Elsewhere, on a bumper night of action, number 22 seed Mark Walsh is expected to see off Darren Webster and can be backed at 1/3 with Ladbrokes to do so. Last year’s quarter finalist Kim Huybrechts starts his 2013 campaign England’s Scott Rand and the winner of that clash is set to take on Wes Newton in the next round.
Huybrechts is the clear favourite at 2/5 with Bet365 but may be vulnerable to the underrated Rand, who is a decent looking 5/2 shot with William Hill.
