David Stockdale signs Fulham contract extension

Fulham goalkeeper, David Stockdale, has signed a four-year extension with the club, before completing a loan move to Ipswich Town in search of more first-team experience.

Stockdale impressed in the absence of Mark Schwarzer in the previous campaign, pulling out standout performances against the likes of Manchester United, Bolton and Port Vale.

The extension will keep the 25 year-old at Craven Cottage until the deal expires in 2015.

Stockdale becomes Town’s sixth summer signing and will bring a touch of Premier League class to the Championship club.
