Blackburn Rovers have agreed a fee with Birmingham for defender Scott Dann, with the deal set to be complete before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
The centre back had been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, with preliminary talks thought to have been underway earlier this summer, but the deal broke down. Dann has been expected to leave the Midlands club all summer following their relegation from the Premier League last term.
Dann signed for Birmingham in 2009 for a fee of £3.5 million and has made 30 league starts for the club, however suffered from a hamstring tear in January which cut his 2010/11 campaign short.
The deal for the 24-year-old is thought to be worth around £5million.
