Footybunker.com have been led to believe that Tottenham Hotspur are nearing a loan deal for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra with a possible option to purchase at the end of the season.
The loan deal is expected to be a full season’s worth with Mourinho prepared to allow the 26 year old depart for his third London side since 2005. Diarra also played for Portsmouth in the 2008-2009 season before leaving to join the Spanish giants. The player has been linked with a move back to both Chelsea and Arsenal this summer too however Tottenham have shown the most interest.
The move would be seen as shrewd business by the White Hart Lane manager Harry Redknapp with the club unable to spend on transfers until some of their players are offloaded and despite no major movement in the transfer window as yet, Tottenham are likely to annouce some changes next week.
