Championship club Doncaster Rover have completed the signing of Former Liverpool, Bolton, Sunderland and Blackburn forward El Hadji Diouf on a three-month deal.
The Senegalese international is ready to get going with Rovers, however the deal is still subject to the relevant paperwork receiving clearance.
Following his release from Blackburn over the summer, Diouf moves to the Keepmoat Stadium as a free agent.
He moved to SPL reigning champions Rangers on loan at the end of the 2010/11 campaign as he fell out of favour at Ewood Park under Steve Kean.
The 30-year-old has since then been linked with a high number of clubs since he stated his desire to return to English football.
West Ham were tipped to be the favourites to sign the player as he was at the club on trial, despite reported interest from Premier League clubs.
Diouf is one of Hammers boss Sam Allardyce’s favourites, as he signed the player on two previous occasions – for Bolton and Blackburn – however he chose not to complete a move for him for the third time.
The once £10million rated player then became reluctant to join Doncaster whom have handed him a short-term contract.
Doncaster manager Dean Saunders has already been able to add players with Premier League experience as he snapped up former Tottenham defender Pascal Chimbonda and will hope that another former top-flight star will be able to help the club climb the Championship ladder.
