Dortmund manager unaffected by “Gotze to Arsenal” rumours

Klopp insists Gotze is going nowhere in JanuaryBorussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Mario Gotze shall not be leaving the club in January and suggests that the North London side also face competition from Bayern Munich for the youngsters signature.

Gotze has hit the back pages in dramatic style over the last six months with many European giants watching the 19 year old. The international not only helped his side to the Bundesliga title last season but is continuing his good work this season as they look to retain the title.

Klopp though feels that Arsenal interest is only 10% of what is covered in Germany and admits he has heard rumours coming from the Premier League regarding the youngster.

“Nothing can happen in January. Arsenal is only about 10 per cent of what is written in Germany so it’s not a problem. Apparently Bayern Munich are interested in him.

“Nobody buys a player from Borussia Dortmund just like that. Not even Arsenal. I’ve heard the rumours from the Premier League, but I never let that affect me. I’m only focused on Dortmund, now more than ever.”

Regarding tonights crunch Champions League tie between the two sides Klopp added:

“This match comes at a good time for us. We need to win and that’s our objective at Arsenal.”
