They do need to pick themselves up from an extra-time defeat to Preuben Munster in the DFP Pokal first round though. For their sake, they need to hope the superior opposition will lead to them raising their game.
Otherwise, it is three points for Dortmund from the moment this one gets underway at 7.30pm on Friday evening.
