Cheltenham expect to announce the signature of Darryl Duffy following his release from Bristol Rovers.
The Cheltenham squad are currently preparing for their new season in Wales, where Duffy will be joining his new teammates for training.
Manager Mark Yates told the club’s official website: “We have been light in the forward areas and Darryl brings something different. He wants to kick-start his career again and he really is hungry for it.”
The Cheltenham boss has faith in his new striker, adding: “He’s scored nearly 70 goals in his career and he has a point to prove. It hasn’t quite worked out for him at Rovers over the past few years but he has a real hunger and desire to play and show how good he is.”
Cheltenham begin their League Two campaign on August 6th against Gillingham.
