Icelandic veteran, Eidur Gudjohnsen, has signed a two-year contract with Greek Cup winners AEK Athens.
The former Barcelona and Chelsea forward has had a torrid last two seasons, failing to find his feet at the likes of Spurs, Stoke and Fulham.
Rumours were circulating earlier this month that Sam Allardyce was close to bringing Gudjohnsen to West Ham. However, Big Sam apparently pulled out of the deal, following the Icelandic international’s slow agreement to the deal.
Having made only 29 appearances in England over the past two years, the striker will be hoping for goals and more on foreign shores.
