England Ukraine Odds as Paddy Power refunding bets if Rooney scores

England and Ukraine go head to head on Tuesday evening in what is a winner takes all affair, as Paddy Power announce they are refunding bets if Wayne Rooney scores for England tonight.

Whoever takes all three points will qualify for the knockout stages.

Looking at England to begin with, they had a dramatic win over Sweden last time out. They had led the match 1-0 but then found themselves 2-1 down and with it all to do.

Roy Hodgson then brought on Theo Walcott who turned the game on its head with a great strike from 20 yards and then providing a cross for Danny Welbeck to find the winner.

It is a performance that The Three Lions can take a great deal of confidence from and they now know that a point against the co-host would see them safely through to the quarter-finals.

It is now four games unbeaten under Hodgson for England, and although he will be pleased with the result he will no doubt be concerned about the goals conceded.

Hodgson is now able to call upon Wayne Rooney as his suspension is now over. Rooney is likely to come back into the side and his quality going forward could be the difference between the two sides.

As for Ukraine, they will be disappointed with their performance against France where they were comfortably beaten 2-0.

Oleg Blokin’s men now know that nothing other than a victory will do here in order for them to qualify.

If they are to win here, Andriy Shevchenko will have to be at his best in front of goal. The 35-year-old scored twice in the opening match and will be dreaming of doing it again against England.

It is now three defeats in four matches for Blokin’s side so he now has the task of lifting the confidence in the group.

Ukraine will have hope that home advantage plays a part in this encounter and they will want to make it a hostile atmosphere for their opponents.

With so much at stake it should be an enthralling encounter and it all gets underway from 7.45pm on Tuesday.
