Etienne Esajas could miss the start of Swindon’s League Two campaign – despite only just signing for the club.
The Dutch midfielder signed a two-year contract after a successful two-week trial with the Robins.
Esajas made 65 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday and spent last season playing for Dutch second division side, Helmond Sport.
After scoring in friendlies against a Marche XI and Swindon Supermarine, the winger suffered a shoulder injury in Monday’s match against Cirencester and could now miss season’s start against Crewe on August 6.
