These two sides crashed out of the Champions League earlier in the campaign, so they have done well to bounce back and mount a challenge for Europe’s second club competition.

Chelsea are of course looking for their second European title in as many years after their Champions League success last season and with the knowhow they have in these big finals, the Premier League outfit could be lifting yet another trophy this evening.

Rafael Benitez has just two games left in charge of the team and as his men have already secured a top four finish in the English top flight, he can put all his attention into winning this encounter.

The Blues are on a good run right now as well as they haven’t tasted defeat in their last eight matches. They do look to be good value for the win inside 90 minutes tonight as you can back them at 7/5.

Fernando Torres is all but certain to be leading the line here as Demba Ba is cup-tied and the Spaniard has to be at his best in front of goal in Amsterdam.

Torres has played well in the Europa League this season and he has found the net five times in eight appearances. It is no surprise to see the striker leading the way in the first goal-scorer market and you can back him to break the deadlock at 5/1.

Chelsea have the players with more than enough quality to win this trophy, but Benfica are an extremely strong side on their day and the Londoners have to be at their best to come out on top.

The Portuguese outfit have also been impressive in this competition and have had to beat some top quality sides in order to make it to the final of the Europa League.

Benfica don’t come into this one in the best of spirits though as they lost to Porto last time out in what could have been a title-deciding fixture in Portugal’s top flight.

Jorge Jesus has to get his players in the right frame of mind for this one though and a response from the weekend is a must. They are good enough to win here, but are the underdogs at 23/10.

Oscar Cardozo has six goals in the Europa League this term and he often raises his game on the big occasions, so could be one to watch this evening. Cardozo only needs half a chance to stick the ball in the back of the net, which means Chelsea have to try and keep him quiet.

The Europa League might not the best club competition in Europe, but it seems to be taken a lot more seriously this season. There have been some top quality teams involved in the tournament this year and lifting the trophy is a superb achievement.

Expect a cracking tie between Chelsea and Benfica in Amsterdam and it all gets underway from 7.45pm.
