Three Premier League teams are in action and they have all managed to avoid each other in round of eight, so it could be a good night for all three of them.

Chelsea entertain Rubin Kazan at Stamford Bridge in what is the former’s third game in just six days, so it is going to be interesting to see what sort of a team Rafael Benitez puts out in this one.

The Blues were 1-0 winners over Manchester United in the FA Cup on Monday and Demba Ba was the match winner, but he is of course cup-tied for this clash, so Fernando Torres is almost certain to start.

If at their best, Chelsea should win here and Benitez is sure to bring a few key men off in the closing stages if they have a comfortable lead.

It isn’t going to be easy as Rubin Kazan have already knocked holders Atletico Madrid out of the compeition and have conceded just one goal in their last four Europa League matches.

Tottenham Hotspur entertain Basel at White Hart Lane and if they can put in a performance similar to their 3-0 drubbing of Inter Milan in the first leg of the last round, they will enjoy another superb night.

However, Spurs were nearly knocked out of the compeition as they then went to the San Siro and needed extra time, plus the away goals rule to qualify.

Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping that Gareth Bale is at his best once again in this one and you could see just how much they missed him in Italy in the second leg.

The home team are at 2/5 to win this one.

Basel currently sit on top of the Swiss Super League and are another side with a superb defensive record as they have only conceded twice in seven Europa League matches.

Newcastle United look to have the toughest tie out of the Premier League clubs as they head to Benfica in this first leg.

The Portuguese side are at 9/2 to win the tournament and at 1/2 to take the spoils this evening. The hosts have lost just once since October and have won their last six matches, scoring 20 goals.

However, they come up against a Newcastle side that have kept four straight clean sheets in the Europa League, so Benfica are going to have to be at their attacking best in this first leg.

The Magpies are sure to pride themselves on being solid at the back and if they can nick an away goal, that’s a bonus.

The final game to look at sees Fenerbahce take on Lazio in what is sure to match with an electric atmosphere.

The Italians are good value to win the match at 29/12, but know they are in for a tough 90 minutes here and the Turkish team are so strong on home soil and fans make it a tough place to come and take the spoils.

It should be an enthralling night of action and all four games get underway at 8.05pm.
