Everton Chairman Kenwright offers to refund fans
Everton FC Chariman Bill Kenwright has offered to refund any fans that purchased “2011/12 shirts with the names of Everton’s departed Mikel Arteta and Jermaine Beckford printed on the back.
The move follows the deadline day sales of Arteta to Arsenal and Beckford to Leicester City.
“” I have been contacted by several supporters (a lot with children) who had bought the new shirts with Mikel and Jermaine’s surnames on the back of them. Both players left the Club quite literally at the very last minute on transfer deadline day” said the Toffees Chairman.
He added:
“These are unusual circumstances and I simply want to try and play fair by those supporters who have spent hard earned money on these shirts.”
