Everton also appear to be interested in Brek SheaMerseyside outfit Everton are looking to steal current Arsenal target Brek Shea and could make an offer as early as January.

The American international has been billed as one of the top stars of American football who could really make a mark on the world scene and has been training with Arsenal during the current MLS break. The FC Dallas youngster was in France over the weekend for an international with David Moyes keen to see how he is progressing and it is believed the Everton manager was impressed enough to warrant a bid after Christmas.

It had been reported last week that Arsenal were prepared to offer Brek Shea a deal to remain with them from the New Year however with Everton possibly in a position to offer more first team football, and the club also looking likely to bring Landon Donovan back on loan from LA Galaxy, the Merseyside club could already be holding the ace card.

An offer will need to be made to the MLS should Arsenal not take Shea on a permanent basis and it is believed an offer of around £5m could be enough to tempt the MLS into releasing one of their finest potential exports for some time.
