We have been informed that Everton are planning a January swap deal that could include striker Louis Saha leave for Celtic as part of a deal that could see Gary Hooper heading down to Goodison Park.
Whilst details are currently sketchy it is believed that Everton are prepared to allow Saha to join Celtic in exchange for Hooper as the Merseyside outfit can no longer take the risk with the Frenchman more often on the treatment table than playing. There is no argument in Saha’s skills and as Sir Alex Ferguson always claimed the key was trying to keep Saha fit.
With that failing more often that not it might be assumed that Moyes has become slightly frustrated at Saha’s injury woes despite him getting on the score sheet at the weekend against Fulham.
Hooper has been impressive since joining from Scunthorpe in 2010 where the 23 year old has scored 24 league goals in close to forty matches. His striker rate was just as impressive for the Iron where he knocked in 43 goals in 80 appearances.
Saha, meanwhile, who joined from Manchester United in 2008 is only two short of 30 Premiership goals for Everton.
