Queens Park Rangers could welcome back Danny Gabbidon this weekend after it was revealed that a knee injury wasn’t as severe as expected.
The Welsh international was thought to be sidelined for some time, however Neil Warnock may have the defender at his disposal for Sunday’s match against Aston Villa.
Nigel Cox, the Hoops’ head physio, told the club’s official website: “Danny twisted his knee, and the subsequent swelling made a full examination difficult.”
He added: “We sent him for a scan on Monday morning and the report has come back and there is no major structural damage, which we are delighted with. The injury certainly isn’t as bad as we initially feared.”
