Ferguson casts doubt over future of Manchester United forward

Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, has dropped the biggest hint so far that Bulgarian striker, Dimitar Berbatov, could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

A Manchester United select XI lost 8-2 to Marseille on Tuesday, where Ferguson was in attendance to watch some of his reserves in the charity game.

In a post-match interview, when asked whether Berbatov could play with Paris St-Germain, the Scot answered: “Yes. Absolutely, no problem.”

Last year’s joint Golden Boot winner has been linked with a move to big spending PSG for some time now, after the club was taken over by a Qatari investor.

The Ligue 1 side are reportedly preparing an £18m bid for the 30 year-old. A sum which would recover some of the £50m the Red Devils have spent so far this season.
