It’s understood that Leicester are in talks to bring former Manchester City midfielder Gelson Fernandes back to England.
The Swiss international spent last season on loan at Chievo from his parent club St Etienne, but it seems he doesn’t factor into the French clubs plans for the coming season.
Leicester manager Sven Goran-Eriksson worked with Fernandes during his time at Manchester City and is keen on bring the 24 year-old to the Championship.
Fernandes’ agent, Marcel Schmid, confirmed that his client is considering the move back to England, saying: “The two clubs are in discussions about a deal,”
Schmid also spoke on the midfielder’s past in England, stating: “Gelson enjoyed some good experiences with Sven and he would be happy to join him again.”
He added: “We are open to more discussions, but nothing has been decided as yet.”
