French maestro poised for Premier League return after short hiatus
Sources suggest that Steed Malbranque is looking for a return to the Premier League after being released from his contract at St. Etienne.
The Belgian midfielder spent just three weeks at the French outfit after leaving Sunderland earlier this summer, and had his two-year contract terminated.
The 31 year-old was recently subject to a media scandal claiming that he was retiring from football to care his cancer-struck son – only to reveal he doesn’t even have a son.
The former Fulham and Tottenham star is now a free agent, and keen on a move back to the English league where he spent the majority of his career.
