Arsenal are nearing both the sale of one midfielder and the purchase of a new one with Denilson ready to depart the Emirates this summer as previously suggested by the Brazilian with the club lining up young defensive midfielder Yann M’Vila from Rennes.
The France international has been at Rennes since 2009, picking up 72 league appearances and Arsenal’s acquisition of M’Vila will follow their strict philosophy of signing youngsters that bring potential with them. Although it appears Wenger still wishes to find an Englishman to add to the midfield, the 61 year old manager is looking to add some freshness in that area with the six footer and sees M’Vila as one for the future.
Rennes will not want to sell their France international cheaply having recently signed a contract extension to 2015, but are aware there is interest from abroad with the French club now likely to try and reach a reasonable sum for the player who only turned 21 last month.
