Fulham consider refreshed bid for Birmingham City forward

Fulham are weighing up a fresh bid for Birmingham City forward, Cameron Jerome, after the Cottagers saw a £2m offer rejected earlier in the week.

New Fulham manager, Martin Jol, is keen to bring in another striker after the other strikers now in his charge all missed periods of last season through injury.

Bobby Zamora, Moussa Dembele and Andy Johnson only netted 11 times last season between them, a figure the Dutch manager knows has to improve if the club are to survive in European competition.

24 year-old Jerome scored only three goals last season as Birmingham were relegated, and Jol is hoping to poach the former Cardiff City player in a cut price deal, following the recent financial troubles of the St. Andrew’s club.
