Fulham defender heads to native Mexico on loan

Carlos Salcido has joined Mexican side, Tigres, on a season-long loan after passing a medical with the club.

The full-back arrived at Craven Cottage from PSV Eindhoven last summer and made 23 appearances for the Premier League outfit.

It’s understood that Salcido grew tired of Britain and longed for a move away after his house was robbed, leading to his family moving out of the country.

The 31 year-old has made more than 90 appearances for the Mexican national side, competing in both the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
