Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer admits Sunday’s game against Manchester City will be no easy task. However, he is hoping that Fulham can pull off an upset against big-spending City and get a much needed win.
“We’ve got to approach the game in the right manner and I’m sure we will,” said the Australian keeper.
“We all know how good they (Manchester City) are and the expectation will be for them to win the game and take three points – it’s our job to make it as difficult as possible.”
He added that a win would be the perfect tonic for a Fulham side without a win in the league so far this season:
“I’ve seen bits and pieces of them on television and we know the quality of players they’ve got. Let’s hope we get them on an off day. We want the challenge (of playing Manchester City) and that’s what football is all about. We need to lift ourselves and get a result in the League.”
Fulham fans will be hoping the experienced keeper is on top form this Sunday, with City bringing a wealth of attacking options to Craven Cottage.
