Fulham manager Mark Hughes closes door on Bayern Munich

Fulham manager mark Hughes has practically closed the door regarding interest from Bayern Munich by declaring that he would like to discuss an extension to the two year deal he signed only last year.

With just over one year remaining on his current Fulham deal Hughes had been mentioned in reports from Germany where rumours had suggested that Bayern Munich were on his trail with regards to taking over from current manager Luis van Gaal who will be leaving at the end of the season.

When asked about a contract extension Hughes said.

“I like those types of conversations, to be perfectly honest, if the club feel I’m doing a good job and that’s what they want to do then certainly I’m open to those discussions.”

However Hughes was adamant that Fulham’s season is not yet over.

“We just need to get this season out the way and maybe we can sit down and speak about those things.”

Fulham next face Everton at Goodison Park on Satuday where a win will put them seven points clear of the relegation spots.
