Fulham and Stoke meet at Craven Cottage this weekend with both teams looking for a positive result to end a poor run of form in recent weeks as Bet365 announce a cracking free bets offer to spend on the weekend football.
Epitomising what the home side’s season has been all about, Fulham have drawn one, lost one and won one of their last three games. They have been inconsistent throughout the campaign and this is why they sit down in 14th position.
There have been flashes of what they can do – the 5-2 victory at home to Newcastle last month for example – but this is their only win in the last six games across all competitions and they were brushed aside at Manchester City last time out.
Bet365 have been in touch to tell us they will offer free bets worth £200/€200 to all Footybunker.com visitors to spend on the weekend football! Exclusive offer – claim here!
In fairness to Martin Jol, this is very much a transitional season for them and he perhaps won’t get the best out of Fulham until next year. However, they are only seven points above the relegation zone and need to be very careful.
As for Stoke, well they go into this weekend’s game on the back of three successive Premier League defeats. For whatever reason, it hasn’t happened for them in the last few weeks and they will want to put an end to this run before it comes too serious.
After all, they have already slipped to 12th in the table and Fulham would go above them with a win this weekend. All things considered, victory for Tony Pulis’ men this weekend could turn out to be one of the most vital this season.
It would be a great way to begin a very busy period for them too with two Europa League games and an FA Cup tie to come after this weekend’s trip to Craven Cottage.
When these two teams met earlier in the season, it ended in a 2-0 victory for Stoke and Fulham will no doubt want revenge for this, hoping that home advantage proves crucial.
Overall though, it should be a tight game between two teams looking to push on and finish in the top-half of the Premier League table this season.
Team news wise, Fulham could be boosted by the return of Andrew Johnson, while Stoke will have to make do without defender Robert Huth following his sending-off against Sunderland.
