West Bromwich Albion have succeeded in bringing Hungarian midfielder and former fan-favourite, Zoltan Gera, back to the Hawthorns.
Gera spent four years with the Baggies before moving on to Fulham on a free transfer in 2008.
Now, the midfielder has returned to the West Midlands outfit, again on a free transfer, and is reunited with former Fulham boss, Roy Hodgson, who is happy to see the midfielder back under his charge.
Hodgson spoke to the club’s official website, stating: “Having decided not to renew his contract at Fulham, Zoltan has come back to the club where he started his career in England,”
“In Zoltan Gera we’ve acquired not only a first-class player but a first-class person and we think that’s also important to the way we want the club to move forward,” the manager added.
Gera has signed a two-year contract at West Brom, with the option of a third year available.
