Preston North End have resigned Graham Alexander, after the defender was released by Burnley.
Alexander left Preston in 2007 after an eight-year spell with the club that saw him reach exactly 400 appearances.
The 39 year-old is thrilled to be back at Deepdale, telling the Preston official website: “I am really excited as it was something I was hoping for. I have finalised leaving Burnley today so I could finally make the move. It is brilliant.”
The veteran went on to say: “I didn’t sleep much last night because I was looking forward to training with the boys today and I am looking forward to everything.”
Alexander will be looking to help Phil Brown and his men gain promotion back to the Championship, after the club was relegated last term.
