Amid interest from Championship clubs, Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has declared there has been no indications from Max Gradel that he wants to move away from the club.
Ivorian winger, Gradel, was the subject of a bid from West Ham, however the offer was quickly swatted away by the club, who deemed it unfit.
The 23 year-old scored Leeds’ midweek winner against Rochdale, and Grayson insists that there is no ground beneath any of the transfer rumours.
The manager told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “I don’t know where people get this stuff from,”
“You’ve seen from his performances in pre-season that he’s focused on what he needs to do, and we don’t want him to leave.”
Gradel has had unrest of some sort at the club before as well as being linked with a move away. However, Grayson is sure the Ivorian wants to stay:
“People are out there to cause a bit of trouble and unsettle players but I spoke to Max about the situation and told him to focus on his football. That’s all he wants to do.”
