The Gunners set to miss out on Mattia Destro

Arsenal along with Chelsea have been continuously linked with a move for Italian international striker Mattia Destro, 23, but any chance of that happening has been dealt a blow.

As the reports in Italy maintain that both Premier League clubs are set to miss out on the player as AC Milan have struck an agreement to sign the 23-year-old from AS Roma.

The gaffers from both clubs  Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger are believed to be big admirers of the attacker but neither is likely to budge on their valuation ofarsenal 5 the player, leaving AC Milan with little competition for his signature.

Also the Rossoneri have reportedly been on the lookout for another striker after their star man Stephan El Shaarawy broke a metatarsal in his right foot earlier in the week, meaning that he will be out for around two months.

The Italia media claim that £520,000 will be paid in the initial loan deal for Destro, with a buy-out clause set at £12.3 million to be activated in the summer.

Though, there still remains some confusion over how much the fee would b, with sources in England claiming that the loan fee would be £700,000 and a future fee set at £17million.
