Bundesliga club Hamburg SV are looking to raid England yet again and this time for Arsenal’s wantaway striker Nicklas Bendtner who has been looking to move on since the start of June.
However, his valuation does not reflect that of other clubs and Hamburg will be looking for a decrease in the players value, currently said to be around £12m. At that price there has been interest, with Bendtner’s father, who is also his agent, claiming there was interest from big European clubs.
Arsenal though will be hoping to get what they can for the striker and are much more likely to settle for close to £10m to free up more cash and a vacant strikers position that Wenger will be looking to add quality to. Bayern Munich were initially interested in the Dane but put off by the price, instead voting for Petersen. This does leave the door open for Hamburg who have been busy this summer already, taking most of Chelsea’s youth at this early stage and now looking to add in at least three positions across the field.
