Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has spoken highly of current striker Roman Pavlyuchenko after his double was enough to send Birmingham City down on Sunday plus guarantee the White Hart Lane side European football next season.
The beginning of the season saw much speculation regarding the future of the Russian with many suggesting a move away would be likely, however, the latest praise from Redknapp does suggest that his future is in North London.
“You watch him in training every day, his movement, his finishing, he’s top-drawer. He’s a good lad, comes in and works hard and he’s so laid back.”
The former Portsmouth manager added.
“He can play, he’s a good player. He’s got dynamite in his boots, like his goals, he can do that, 25 yards and bang. He’s got that ability. He’s a clever mover as well.”
