Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Redknapp has hailed his new strike signing Emmanuel Adebayor suggesting the former Arsenal forward see’s everything and has a footballing brain.
The former Real Madrid loanee scored twice against Liverpool at the weekend adding to his goal last week against Wolves and Redknapp believes Adebayor could be up there at the end of the season with 20+ goals to his name.
“He was fantastic against Liverpool and he was great at Wolves last week as well, the pass he played to Defoe just after half-time was unbelievable. The picture he had, the ball came from Kyle Walker, he helped it on and Jermain should have scored really.”
“He has great vision and sees all the pictures. He sees everything, he has a football brain and that great awareness. He’s scored three goals in two games and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be up there with 20 goals again.
The Tottenham Hotspur manager added:
“He’s had a smile on his face and runs around like a two-year-old during training every morning! We need to slow him up, almost. You couldn’t ask for more than he’s given us.”
