Harry Redknapp vows to “strengthen further this summer”
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has suggested the White Hart Lane side will strengthen further this summer and also adds how enjoyable the season has been.
Tottenham have embarked on a fruitful Champions League campaign as well as finishing fifth in the Premiership to claim a Europa League spot with Redknapp even suggesting this season has been more successful than last.
“It has been a real joy to be involved with this team throughout the campaign. The whole season has been enjoyable. It has been a fantastic year and as good as any I have had. For me, it has been even more successful than last year.”
The Spurs manager continued.
“We couldn’t quite make the top four again, however, to have played in the Champions League and got the results that we did to make the last eight in our first-ever year in the competition was an amazing achievement and to finish fifth in the Premier League, the lads have done so well, they have been fantastic.”
Regarding any movement of their key players and this summers transfer action Redknapp added.
“This is a great club, the players that we want to keep are on long contracts and we will look to strengthen further in the summer in order to push on.”
