Its a big weekend of Heineken Cup rugby latest odds on Ospreys v Toulouse, Saracens v Munster, Montpellier v Cardiff Blues, Treviso v Leicester, Ulster v Northampton released by Paddy Power.
The Heineken Cup really starts to heat up this weekend as sides play the reverse group stage fixtures just one week after they last met.
One of the most intriguing fixtures of the weekend comes in Pool One as Saracens and Munster renew their rivalry following on from last week’s bruising 15-9 win in the favour of Munster.
Heineken Cup Rugby : Paddy Power Free Bet Offer
We’ve a cracking weekend of Heineken Cup rugby, as Paddy Power celebrate with the announcement of a new free bets offer worth £250/€250 to all customers to spend on any game! They’ll also refund certain bets during the game! Claim here!
A defeat in that match would have ended Munster’s hopes of qualifying from the group, but their win has thrown the pool wide open with now Saracens place in the next round under threat if they lose at Vicarage Road on Sunday. Both Sarries and Munster sit top of the pool on 10 points but with Racing Metro just two points behind, both of the European giants know a win this weekend could be massive for their European hopes.
Despite the 15-9 reverse in Ireland, Saracens are being touted as the most likely winners of the clash and can be backed at a best-priced 4/7 with Paddy Power. For Munster to repeat their victory you can get a tempting looking 6/4 with Bet365.
On Saturday, Leicester Tiger can all-but secure their qualification to the knock-out stages with a win over bottom of Pool Two Treviso, who have yet to pick up a point in Europe this season.
The Tigers will be hoping the tie goes the same way as their last meeting at Welford Road, where the hosts ran out 33-25 winners. Treviso are a different proposition on home soil though and did compete well for long periods in the Midlands last weekend.
The Tigers have been made very strong favourites for the game, with Paddy Power pricing up the English giants at 1/6 for the win.
The Italians are a 4/1 shot but have been backed to surprise the Tigers with Bet365, who have reported some interest in the home side. They do know how to score tries and any team with an attacking style of play are always dangerous playing against odds-on shots.
With the wave of support behind the Italians in the win market, it is no surprise to see that they have also been popular with Bet365 in the handicap market. Treviso have been given a +10 head start and are 10/11 to justify that line.
In Pool Two’s other game Ospreys know that they need to beat table-toppers Toulouse if they have any chance of making the final stages of the competition. The Welsh side are currently eight points behind the French side in the table and lost 30-14 in France last weekend.
However, the markets are very strong on the French champions this year and are pretty confident of them registering their fourth Heineken Cup win on the spin. They are just 1/3 shots to beat the Ospreys in their own back yard with the hosts available at 11/5 with Bet365.
Elsewhere on Saturday, and Harlequins could pull further clear at the top of Pool Three with a win over win over struggling Zebre at The Stoop. They racked up 57 points against their inferior opposition last week and the same level of victory is expected again seven days on.
The hosts are 1/500 to win with Paddy Power, but are interestingly 10/11 with a -36 start with Bet365, which looks good value considering the weak nature of their opponents.
Northampton Saints are teetering on the brink of elimination from the competition after they were hammered 25-6 by Ulster at Franklin Gardens last week – they need to win the reverse fixture in order to keep their European dream alive in Pool Four.
They are 5/1 shots with Bet365 to get that victory with Ulster favourites at 1/8.
