It’s understood that Birmingham City have made an enquiry regarding the availability of Newcastle’s Nile Ranger.
Birmingham manager, Chris Hughton, is having somewhat of a striker crisis with Marlon King, Nikola Zigic and Cameron Jerome all unavailable through injury.
Newcastle are suspected of being willing to let Ranger go, either through sale or as part of a loan deal.
The former Southampton forward has also attracted the attention of Blackpool, with the Seasiders suspected of having had a bid for the 20 year-old rejected last month.
Hughton was responsible for handing the striker his debut while he was in charge at Newcastle.
