Inter Milan will make Arsenal playmaker Samir Nasri their primary target as soon as the deal involving Manchester United and Wesley Sneijder go through.
The Serie A giants have made no secret of the fact that they are short of funds and will sell Sneijder – reported to be between £27m and £32m – so they can immediately make an offer close to £25m for 24 year old Nasri. The Arsenal playmaker has already suggested he wishes to leave the North London club to gain a chance at winning some silverware and although Italy remains a highly possible option, it will be a case of whether the Frenchman wishes to leave the Premiership for a new competition or take the switch to Manchester City who are interested having made an offer worth £22m.
For Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger it is now a matter of when and not if but he will not be held to ransom and is happy to to cup tie Nasri in the Champions League should no solid offers be forthcoming by next Wednesday.
