Inter Milan are awaiting news from Palermo regarding a potential move for Javier Pastore which will all but seal Wesley Sneijder’s move to Manchester United this summer.
The deal between United and Inter is believed to be worth £35m for the 27 year old midfielder however the Italian giants do not wish to agree the move until they have Pastore in place. With it very unlikely now that Pastore will want a switch to the Premier League, Chelsea will of course lose out, but Inter will at first need to at least match the offer on the table by Chelsea of €45m.
Once Inter Milan manager Gian Piero Gasperini can confirm that cover for Sneijder is in place, most likely through Palermo’s Pastore, then negotiations between the Italian side and Premiership Champions Manchester United will go ahead much more conveniently.
