Inter Milan manager Gasperini shrugs off terrible start

Inter Milan boss Gian Piero Gasperini claims he does not feel under pressure despite Inter’s worse start to the season in 90 years, saying he has the backing of the club behind him.

Inter have lost their first three games of the season, including a derby loss against bitter rivals AC Milan.

However, the Italian coach has declared that he and the club are in no sort of crisis: “In recent days the feeling is that we’re in the midst of a storm. But that’s only the case from the outside, not the inside. And it’s not the case with the team or the club,”

He continued:

“That’s the important thing is for us to show a response.”

“I’m in control of my work. For me what’s important is the professionalism of the team, what the president tells me and what the club tells me.

He added:

“The president has always had a very motivational attitude towards me and that’s what counts.”
