Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari appears to be ready for a move and that could signal the end of his time with the Serie A giants as soon as January.
The former Sunderland loanee has not been involved in first team matters for sometime and is not playing as many minutes as he would like and the agent of Muntari, Marco Odisio, suggests the player could be ready to move abroad. Muntari did have the opportunity to move back to the Premier League in the summer but he initially wanted to remain in Italy to play Champions League football for Inter.
Muntari though was not included in the Champions League squad and is therefore now looking for a change of clubs with the player having previously been linked to the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Blackburn Rovers.
Talking to radiocrc.com, Muntari’s agent explained the current situation.
“Before the beginning of the season Inter have made some choices that probably didn’t include Sulley, he was in great shape, he has not been included in the Champions League list because of some choices made by the club. In June he had the opportunity to move to an English club, but finally this possibility has vanished.”
Odisio continued:
“Sulley really wants to play, he was quite upset about missing the possibility to move to England because he wanted to play abroad. Today he seems like a player that Inter are not considering.”
Muntari’s agent also suggested that he was in talks with numerous clubs abroad but that Napoli was not one of them although the option would interest the 27 year old.
“At the moment we are evaluating some offers made by foreign clubs, but Napoli would be an interesting alternative”.
