Interest by Manchester United and Arsenal in defensive midfielder confirmed
The agent of Argentine midfielder Lucas Biglia has confirmed that there is an interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in the 25 year old but fails to suggest whether an offer has been made.
The defensive midfielder currently plys his trade in Belgium for Anderlecht and joined them in 2006 from Independiente. Two division titles and a Belgian Cup winners medal and his agent believes he has mature enough to move on to a bigger club.
Asked whether he was aware of interest by United and Arsenal, Enzo Montepaone replied:
“There is interest from some of those clubs. Lucas came to Anderlecht in 2006 to learn and grow, I think he is now amture and ready to move to a top club, Biglia has the potential to develop further at an elite club”.
Whether either clubs intentions are serious is guesswork at the moment. With Arsenal currently packed to the rafters in that area, only Manchester United would be believed to be serious, with injuries mounting and constant calling for someone with ability to sit in front of the back four.
